Confederate Chapter Barber Motorsports 2008 Event Information

BARBER VINTAGE FESTIVAL October 17-19 2008

The Confederate Chapter of Tennessee was invited by Barber Motorsports
Museum to again provide a major display of Antique motorcycles at the Forth
Annual Barber Vintage Festival. We have been given the same premier space as last
year just inside the track entrance on the right. We had our Antique Bike
Display and Show again this year. In 2008, we had over 70 quality motorcycles for
our bike show & display.

This is a beautiful facility along with an action packed weekend filled with vintage
bike shows, the 4th Annual “Race of the Century”, AHRMA road racing, motocross, trials,
stunt flying & air show, big vintage swap meet (now paved),
And best of all… the world’s best and largest motorcycle museum with over 1000 fantastic
motorcycles on display.
Come and be a part of it.

The Confederate Chapter sponsors and facilitates the “Race of the Century”.
We feel this is the premier event of the weekend. Bikes must be 100 years old to
participate. This race is gaining worldwide recognition. Our first year at Barber,
we had 2 bikes entered. Bruce Linsday’s 1905 Harley Davidson & Calvin Burnett’s 1905 Indian.
The second year’s race brought Bruce and Calvin’s bikes back, along with 2 additional bikes.
Last year, we had over 10 Motorcycles entered. This Year, we offered 2 classes of the “Race of the Century”.
There was a "Single" and "Twin" class. (Any 4 cylinder models will be included in the Twin class.

club products, and to help make this event bigger and better.

Please contact Bob Kenny to volunteer.
