Confederate Chapter Barber Motorsports 2007 Event Information

BARBER VINTAGE FESTIVAL October 19-21 2007

The Confederate Chapter of Tennessee has been invited by Barber Motorsports
Museum to again provide a major display of Antique motorcycles at the Third
Annual Barber Vintage Festival. We have been given the same premier space as last
year just inside the track entrance on the right. We will have our Antique Bike
Display and Show again this year. In 2006, we had over 50 quality motorcycles for
our bike show & display. Our goal this year is 100 high quality original antique
motorcycles participating in the Saturday show. There will not be any Judging of
the Motorcycles at this event. This will be a display show only. Plaques or trophies
will be presented to each class.

The Barber Museum again will provide two free weekends passes to each of the
pre-registered Confederate Chapter members who bring display bikes. Camping is
available at the track or make your hotel reservations early since many places
will sell out of rooms. Detailed event information can be found at www.barbermuseum.org
Only pre-registered Confederate club members are eligible for the Free Weekend pass.
We need your stock, original or restored Antique motorcycles for this show.
Any original early machines from Harley, Indian, Henderson, FN, Curtis, Thor,
Pope and Excelsior are sought. Email Bob Kenny at bob.kenney@raymondjames.com with
your complete contact information to get pre-registered.

This is a beautiful facility along with an action packed weekend filled with vintage
bike shows, the 3rd Annual “Race of the Century”, AHRMA road racing, motocross, trials,
stunt flying & air show, a Jerry Woods bike auction, big vintage swap meet (now paved),
And best of all… the world’s best and largest motorcycle museum with over 1000 fantastic
motorcycles on display.
Come and be a part of it.

The Confederate Chapter sponsors and facilitates the “Race of the Century”.
We feel this is the premier event of the weekend. Bikes must be 100 years old to
participate. This race is gaining worldwide recognition. Our first year at Barber,
we had 2 bikes entered. Bruce Linsday’s 1905 Harley Davidson & Calvin Burnett’s 1905 Indian.
The second year’s race brought Bruce and Calvin’s bikes back, along with 2 additional bikes.
This year, we expect more than 10 machines to compete in the “Race of the Century”.

All Confederate Chapter members are welcome to attend events even if you don’t display
a bike in the show. We will also have some special events and awards planned each day.
Volunteers are needed to help setup, work the bike show, man the membership booth, sell
club products, and to help make this event bigger and better.

Please contact Bob Kenny to volunteer.
